El Centro Español de Recursos de Provo - Spanish Resource Center in Provo
Creado en 1999 como fruto del acuerdo entre BYU y la Consejería de Educación de la Embajada de España y situado dentro de la Universidad de Brigham Young (BYU), el Centro Español de Recursos de Provo es un lugar de encuentro para maestros de español, maestros de educación bilingüe, estudiantes de español de todos los niveles, administradores y para todos aquellos interesados en el aprendizaje y en la enseñanza de la lengua española o las culturas hispanas.
El Centro Español de Recursos de Provo forma parte de una red de más de cincuenta centros por todo el mundo y es uno de los 15 centros que dependen de la Consejería de Educación de la Embajada de España en Washington.
Created in 1999 and located at Brigham Young University, the Spanish Resource Center is a gathering place for Spanish teachers, bilingual education teachers, students of all educational levels, administrators, and other people interested in the knowledge and difusion of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures.
This Center forms part of a network of Spanish Resource Centers dependent upon the Spanish Embassy's Education Council, located at different universities in the United States and Canada.
The Center located at Brigham Young is the result of an agreement between the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science, Brigham Young University, and the Brigham Young University Public School Partnership.
The College of Humanities collaborates with the Center along with the special support of the Spanish and Portuguese Department and the McKay School of Education. The Spanish Resource Center works closely with CITES (Center for the Improvement of Teacher Education and Schooling.
